“All of us as Americans have the same rights, we have the same civil rights,” Bachmann told Jane Schmidt, 16, who identified herself as a member of her schools’ GSA, the alliance advocating for the rights of gay and straight students. “There shouldn’t be any special rights or any special set of criteria based upon peoples’ preferences,” Bachmann continued. When pressed further by Schmidt and asked why same sex couples don’t share the same rights to marry, Bachmann replied, “They can get married…they abide by the same laws as everyone else. They can marry a man if they’re a woman, or they can marry a woman if they’re a man…”
Very smart young feminists.
Very narrow minded presidential candidate.
