Kira-Lynae, earth daughter of Gail and spirit daughter of Yemaya, is a Black womyn ghetto feminist word enthusiast studying 19th century Black womyn novelists’ dismantling, deconstructing and reworking of the English language, intra and intercultural understandings of Black womynhood, Black subjectivity, the white gaze and theories/ideologies in fiction. “Conjure Words: Unearthing the Divinity of Self through Affirmation Writing” workshop presenter for the Dawtas of the Moon Black Witch Convention and one of the many founders of the collective, Black Womyn Rising, her justice work is grounded in a radical Black love.
