Two Internship Opportunities at TFW

Editorial Intern
TFW seeks a part-time editorial intern, preferably an advanced undergraduate or early graduate student. Duties will include triaging manuscript submissions, tracking reviews, communicating with authors, copyediting submissions, uploading articles to www.thefeministwire.com, and other duties as appropriate. Candidates should have excellent writing and communication skills, and at least some familiarity with WordPress, Submittable, and various social media. The intern will report directly to TFW core management, but will work also with various members of the Editorial Collective. This internship is unpaid, but TFW leadership will coordinate with universities and colleges to assure internship credit. Applicants should submit by February 1, 2013 a resume/CV, writing sample, and cover letter explaining why TFW should hire you to mjcasper@email.arizona.edu. Special Projects Intern
TFW seeks a part-time special projects intern, preferably a graduate student but we will also consider advanced undergraduates. Duties will include assisting TFW Collective Members in advancing special projects such as, but not limited to, conference organizing, developing teaching resources, preparing an edited collection of TFW articles, and marketing. This intern will be especially helpful to us as we make some organizational changes in 2013 and expand our activities. The internship is unpaid, but TFW leadership will coordinate with universities and colleges to assure internship credit.
