TFW is delighted to introduce our current intern, Maura Jennison-Obenshain, who will be working for us throughout the fall semester.

Maura is a graduate student at Arizona State University, studying Social Justice and Human Rights. Her research interests are music and social movements, social justice and social change, and feminism. She moved to Arizona for college (B.A. Women’s and Gender Studies, ASU), and now works for the University as a Coordinator in the Budget & Financial office of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences Dean’s Office. She spends her spare time playing trumpet, trombone, baritone, and tuba in the retro-futuristic rock band, Jellied Brainz. She lives with her boyfriend and chihuahua (two separate beings) in Glendale, Arizona.

We should note that Maura is our second intern from the MA Program in Social Justice and Human Rights. In 2011, Kalen Young (M.A. 2012) served as an intern, and in spring 2013, we will welcome our third intern from the program, Veronica Martinez.
